Setting up Your Student Account and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
** If you have been locked out of your Microsoft Authenticator app,
please call the IT Helpdesk at 270-706-8817 to have it reset.
Step 1
Go to elizabethtown.kctcs.edu. At the top middle of the page, hover over Quick Links and click on Current Students.
Step 2
Scroll down and click User Account Center.
Step 3
To set up user profile, click Setup your user profile. If you already have a MyPath Account and need to change your password, click on "Reset Password".
Step 4
Follow the onscreen instructions. Once completed, a username will be generated. Take a picture of this or write it down! Then continue with the steps to create your password.
Step 5
Go to MyPath.kctcs.edu and logon by adding @kctcs.edu to the end of the username that was created in Step 4. This is your KCTCS email address and what you will use to login to MyPath, along with the password you created.
Step 6
Upon entering your password you will receive a message that will state "More Information Required".
Click Next
Step 7
On the new screen, click I want to set up a different method to set up phone text.
Step 8
Enter your phone number and make sure Text me a code is selected.
Step 9
You should receive a text message with a 6-digit-code. Enter that code and click Next
Adding Additional MFA Methods
Adding a second MFA method, such as your personal email address, is a good idea in case you someday don't have your phone with you. Go to mypath.kctcs.edu and click on your profile icon in the top-right corner of the window,
and then click View account.
On the Security info box, click on Update Info
On the Security info page, click Add sign-in method
and choose the option you want from the drop-down list
