Hardin County
The Elizabethtown News-Enterprise and its predecessors (Elizabethtown News and the Hardin County Enterprise) are not available online before 2008. Back issues of these newspapers are available on microfilm at Ancestral Trails. Call (270) 982-0881 or email for further information. Ancestral Trails also maintains a small research library located at 201 W. Dixie Ave. Its holdings include the Hardin County court records on microfilm. The Hardin County Clerk’s Office has a searchable database on its website – marriages, wills, criminal and civil court cases, tax assessments. The database is somewhat difficult to use but records go back well into the 19th century
